Bookish for life

Anthropology graduate, anglophile, social justice activist, chocoholic, traveler and book lover from the German-speaking part of Switzerland, currently working in the renewable energy sector. Books have been my passion since before I could read.

Considering using this as a replacement for my Goodreads account, where I've been keeping track of what I read (audiobooks included). You can find a record of the dead-tree books I own on LibraryThing. As of now I haven't imported those yet.

Love in the Afternoon

Love in the Afternoon - Lisa Kleypas I don't read a lot of romance novels (because a lot of the time they make me want to slap the heroine silly) but this one came recommended and I really enjoyed it. The heroine is pretty awesome - strong-willed and smart, and the hero is an actual person (except for his 'silver eyes' - what does that even mean?). And, much to my relief, the secret separating them isn't dragged out too long and too artificially (another pet peeve of mine). So yes, definitely a fun read!
